Description

110V / 120V supply only. This unit is built for standard North American household current (110V / 120V). Running it on 220V / 240V through a voltage converter-transformer voids any warranty the equipment may have. Confirm your outlet voltage before powering on. Learn more

This is the bench lathe for turning small metal parts: pins, ferrules, bezels, findings, model and instrument work, cut on a bench top rather than in a machine shop. The TAIG Micro Lathe II arrives completely assembled and pre-wired, ready to run out of the box, and holds working accuracy to 0.0005" with cross slide dial graduations of 0.001".

A 6-step V-belt drive gives a broad speed selection with stable torque up to a 7,000 rpm maximum recommended spindle speed, so the same machine takes fine finishing passes and confident material removal. Sealed precision ball bearings carry the spindle for low runout. The lathe ships mounted on its board with the motor, workholding and starter tooling in place, and the packed weight is 20 lb (9.1 kg).

Features

  • Ready to run: factory-assembled lathe with a pre-wired 1/4 HP motor (115 V).
  • Precision control: overall working accuracy to 0.0005"; cross slide dial graduations 0.001".
  • 6-step V-belt drive: broad speed selection with stable torque up to 7,000 rpm maximum spindle speed.
  • Versatile tooling: adjustable tool post supports chamfering, boring and general turning.
  • Sealed precision spindle bearings for low runout and long service life.
  • Workholding on board: 3-jaw chuck, tailstock drill chuck and arbor.
  • Extras on board: 6-piece tool set, grinding arbor and wheels, and a spare belt.
  • 1-year warranty on parts and labor.

Notes

  • Supplied as the 115 V model; confirm your bench supply before running it.
  • Optional riser block and swing-increasing accessories are available separately.
  • A partially assembled kit version (Part # 141.105) is also available for anyone who prefers to do the final assembly and wiring.
