UPS Next Day Air delivers on the next business day after your package ships, not the day after you place your order. Business days are Monday through Friday. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays are not delivery days for our expedited services.
Two things decide your delivery day: when your order ships, and how many business days the service takes from that ship date.
Order by 3:30 PM Pacific, Monday through Friday, and in-stock items usually ship the same business day. Orders placed after the cutoff, or on a weekend or holiday, ship the next business day. The air service then counts business days from that ship date.
An order placed Friday morning with Next Day Air ships Friday, and the next business day is Monday. It will not arrive Saturday or Sunday. The same math applies to 2nd Day Air: an order shipped Thursday arrives Monday, because Friday is day one and Monday is day two.
UPS offers Saturday Delivery only as a special service, and it is not available at our checkout. If you need your order in hand by a weekend, call us at (800) 772-3456 before you place the order and we will tell you honestly whether your deadline can be met.
