When you reach checkout on our website you may be sent straight to Shop Pay, Shopify's express checkout. Shop Pay is a separate account run by Shopify, similar to PayPal, and it keeps its own copy of your phone number and address.
To use our regular checkout instead, scroll to the bottom of the purple Shop Pay screen and click "Check out without Shop Pay." Some shoppers may still see the older wording, "Check out as guest." It is the same link, and you are still checking out with Otto Frei. From there you can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, or phone payment.
Shop Pay and phone numbers. Shop Pay verifies you by text message, so the phone number on your Shop account must be a mobile number that can receive texts. Business lines, landlines, and freight-forwarder or warehouse numbers fail that check, and Shop Pay shows "Enter a valid phone number" even when the number is correct. Our regular checkout does not have that requirement; any number works there. To fix Shop Pay itself, sign in at shop.app and change the phone number on your profile to a text-capable mobile number. Otto Frei cannot see or change your Shop account.
